  Sushi Rio Restaurant Reviews

Review submitted 17th January 2012 - by Scott from Sydney

I have mixed reviews about this restaurant. I had an enjoyable meal, the sushi and other dishes I selected were tasty but the overall presentation of most of the dishes was pretty poor. None of the sushi rolls were evenly rolled, some of the dishes that went around looked unappetizing. My friend and I watched the sushi chef (a very young sushi chef!) prepare and he didn't seem to put much effort in to making the dishes. The cucumber he put into the sushi rolls were all unevenly sliced, he just quickly rolled it up so not taking the time to make sure it was round. We even seen him cutting up a sushi roll using a knife which he didn't wipe down after cutting the previous sushi roll. I doubt he had fully sushi chef training. I don't think I'll be going back. There are too many good Japanese Restaurant in Sydney to go that risk the food at the this place.
