Mr Wong's Chinese Cantonese Restaurant has quickly become known for high quality, fine dining Chinese and Cantonese cuisine including really good quality Yum Cha dishes at lunch time. Mr Wong's opened on Bridge Lane in 2012 and was quikly awarded the Sydney Morning Herald's Sydney's Best New Restaurant in 2012 as well as other presitgious awards since including the 2013 Time Out Sydney Food Awards Best New Restaurant, 2014 Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Awards, New Restaurant of the Year and 2014 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards, Two Hats & Best New Restaurant.

The service is definitely fine dining, with an amazing decor with old rustic brick walls. Mr Wong's serves either al a carte Yum Cha dishes (no trolleys here) or a full Cantonese al a carte menu for lunch and a full Cantonese al a carte menu at dinner time.

Eric Koh and Dan Hong are the executive chefs at Mr. Wong and have really brought high quality, fine dining Chinese food to Sydney. Reservations are recommended as it is always busy at Mr Wong's.

Awesome Yum Cha! I went into Mr Wong's for a Friday lunch with 2 colleagues and we were all impressed with the quality and taste of the Yum Cha dishes. It was a bit expensive compared to the Yum Cha restaurants you find in Chinatown, at around $40 per person for lunch but the food was the best Yum Cha any of us had ever had. The steamed rice noodle rolls with either the bbq pork or the king prawns where the pick of the dishes. The rice noodles glistened with a delicious sweet soy sauce and the pork and prawns inside were both delicious.
